The SHOWTIME-televised fight card for “Strikeforce – Challengers Series 4,” set for Friday, Nov. 6, at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif., is coming together nicely. PROMMA.INFO was notified Monday via press release that a fight between undefeated heavyweight prospects Shane Del Rosario (8-0) and Brandon Cash “Money (5-0) has been added to the card.
Other fights already confirmed for the event include Luke Rockhold (5-1) vs. Jesse “JT Money” Taylor (13-4), and a lightweight main event between Billy Evangelista (9-0) and the always exciting Jorge Gurgel (13-5).
Shane Del Rosario knocked out his last opponent Lloyd Marshbanks in just 34 seconds in their M-1 Challenge fight on Sept. 26. It was his seventh first-round KO in eight fights. Not to be outdone, Brandon Cash knocked out his last opponent Steve Gavin in just 26 seconds back in February at Palace Fighting Championship. It was his third KO in four fights.
“We’re both big guys that just like to come out swinging,” said Del Rosario, who was a high school basketball star from Irvine, Calif. “It could be a quick ending for either guy on Nov. 6.”
Fresno, Calif. native Brandon Cash gave his thoughts on the fight. “I’m so stoked to be fighting on a STRIKEFORCE card on SHOWTIME,” said Cash. “I expect to see a guy across the cage who wants to fight. I’m a brawler and I want to finish this fight. He may have a little more experience than me but I’m a little hungrier.
Also on Nov. 6, former Fresno State wrestling star and Fresno native Casey “The Underdog” Olson (11-3) will return to action in the cage in a lightweight match-up against an opponent to be determined.
