Undefeated King Mo (4-0) is ready to make his U.S. debut on Friday, Aug. 28 against Mark Kerr.

PRO MMA (promma.info) spoke to King Mo Lawal late night Thursday, a few hours after weigh-ins. We wanted to check in with Mo in those final moments leading up to his U.S. debut to see how he’s feeling. “I’m ready,” he said.

Lawal of course will be taking on “The Smashing Machine” Mark Kerr at “HDNet Fights Presents Breakthrough” in Kansas City on Friday. Kerr is a fighter plenty past his prime but King Mo still thinks the fight should be entertaining. “It’s gonna be a better fight then people expect,” said Lawal.

Lawal weighed in at 219 lbs. a few hours ago, and Kerr tipped the scales at 263 lbs. Lawal thinks Kerr will be motivated not to want to lose to someone so much smaller. “I like Mark. He is big and looks in decent shape. And i dont think he wants to lose to a guy that weighs 220 with clothes on,” said Lawal.

We also talked briefly about the Fedor Emelianenko vs. Brett Rogers match up. As most people seem to think, Mo feels it’s Fedor’s fight to win. “Rogers is too slow and a just has a puncher’s chance,” Lawal said. “When have you ever seen Fedor get hit clean?”

Being on the cutting edge of MMA journalism, we had to know if Mo was going to have his ladies with him. “Yeah. I’ma have females wit me,” said Lawal.

However, he did confess they were not the same ladies that usually surround him in Japan. He has a whole new batch! Hmmm… wonder if his Japanese honeys will be jealous?
