Douglas throws a big overhand right that connects and follows it with an uppercut that rocks wilcox but he recovers. Wilcox gets the fight back to the ground and slowly proceeds to the mount. He contiues to hold to position alternating strikes and submission attempts controlling Douglas. In the scramble to regain guard, Tarzan receives a wedgy! Tough first round to score but I would give it to Wilcox 10-9

RD2 – Wilcox again works for the takedown and passes to the side mount, then to mount. Slowly working in the top postion in a repeat of the first round with Wilcox going from submission attempts to peppering shots. The ground begins to grow restless. They do not boo however, and yell “stand them up” Wilcox controls the second round. 10-9

Rd3 – Wilcox is peppering Douglas to start the third round and again gets the takedown to mount. Wilcox’s stamina and pressure is very impressive. Tarzan rols back and forth from front to back mount. Champ Gilbert Melendez vs. Mitsuhiro Ishida (Strikeforce interim lightweight title) – Fast Eddie’s friend and favorite fighter is in the cage and forgive me if I root for El Nino! The first minute and a half sees the fighters feel each other out. Ishida tries for the takedown but was unsuccessful. Ishida does get the fight to the ground and momentarily gets Gilberts back but Melendez reverses the position and gets Ishida down. Very close round but you know I give to melendez 10-9.

A couple of subsequent takedowns by Melendez secure the round 10-9.

  1. That’s good scouting Richard. Undercard fights are kinda hard to pick sometimes. Or at least to me

  2. Damn Richard. you need to lay some money down. That’s a big deal calling a perfect undercard with those lesser known fighters.

  3. Gina is going down

    on me.

Seriously though Gina is gonna get KO’d – It’s Terminator 9 – “Rise of the Cyborg!”

  4. I’m glad I didn’t put money on “JT Money”. Must have been tird from the weight cut.

  5. Who thinks Gina and Randy have something going on?

Did Randy just say “The hay’s in the barn?” LOL

  6. That was an awesome fight between Gilbert and Ishida. Great win by Ishida. This could be fight of the night right here..Gegard and Babalu.

  7. CYBORG!!!!! I KNEW IT ——— CALLED IT TOO! FIRST ROUND TKO – TOO MUCH POWER. THERE’S NOT A WOMAN IN THE SPORT RIGHT NOW WHO CAN BEAT CYBORG! SHE’S THE FEMALE FEDOR.

  8. Yea I don’t see any female challenging her soon. Doesn’t have anything to do with this show but Roy Jones is beating up Jeff Lacy pretty bad. Maybe Anderson is watching that.
