DREAM 10 betting odds

BetUS.com has the fight lines for DREAM 10 which takes place Mon., July 20, 2009 at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. The event will air live on HDNet beginning at 3:00 AM ET/12:00 AM PT.

The odds-makers seem to have overlooked the fact that Jesse Taylor (12-3) is on a six fight win streak. Yes, Dong Sik Yoon’s (4-6) record is a bit misleading due to the level of talent he has faced, but the fact remains, Jesse Taylor is a tough strong kid with a lot of momentum.

Marius Zaromskis (9-2) is a huge underdog against the ultra-experienced Hayato “Mach” Sakurai (35-8-2). However, if Zaromskis could pull it off, anyone betting on him would pad their wallet nicely. Here are the comlete betting odds for DREAM 10:

Thiago Alves plans to learn from his mistakes

Georges St. Pierre once again showed everyone why he is the UFC Welterweight Champion by dominating Thiago “Pitbull” Alves with a unanimous decision victory at UFC 100. Many believed Alves, with his size, strength, and striking ability, would be the fighter to stop GSP in his tracks.

Alves recently talked to the Brazilian magazine Tatame about why he was not able to put a stop to St. Pierre’s reign. “What surprised me was that I couldn’t find the guy… I did a great strategy, but every time I tried to catch him he moved away,” said Alves.

Cro Cop spoke recently about his decision to stay with the UFC, “I am pleased to return to the UFC, the only global MMA organization. Unfortunately, all the other organizations are lagging behind the UFC at the moment.”

Many non-grapplers do not realize how important competing in the “correct” weight class is, but to the die-hard competitor it is a very important aspect of their preparation.
