Former Cage Rage Welterweight Champion Paul “Semtex” Daley (21-8-2) has signed a four-fight deal with the UFC according to Fighters Only.

Daley is an impressive striker with 16 of his 21 wins coming by way of (T)KO. His most recent fight was back in April where he scored a first round TKO over Junior Barata (5-2-1). Daley was originally scheduled to fight on the Aug. 1 “Affliction: Trilogy” card against Jay Hieron.

“Semtex” is a native of Nottingham, England, and although he would fit in perfectly on the UFC’s future U.K. cards, it is believed the UFC wants to use him on their U.S. cards as well.

Daley has wins over such well-known fighters as John Alessio, Duane Ludwig, Sam Morgan, and Dave Strasser. It is not yet known when he will make his UFC debut.

Update 7-30-09: Contrary to earlier reports, MMA.Fanhouse reports that UK star Paul “Semtex” Daley has NOT yet signed a deal with the UFC and is still in negotiations with “several” promotions.
