UFC President Dana White loves Twitter. Anyone who has seen a recent UFC event knows this. Since White has joined the Twitter family, he has broken some major news through the 140-word limit cult phenomenon that makes chatting between mobile phones and Internet users very convenient.

Today White dropped another bomb on the MMA world. With six words and a smiley (yes the President of a billion dollar company uses smileys), White announced the return of former light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz to the UFC. At least that is how we are interpreting it. You decide for yourself. Here is the actual Tweet from White:

I am going on espn 1100 in vegas at 6pm. I will be talking anything mma. Call in number is 702 364 1100! Oh yea and welcome back tito :)

The first signs of Tito’s return to the UFC appeared a week ago when Ortiz and White used Twitter to squash their long-standing beef. Tito stated via Twitter on July 17th, “Yeah, me and @danawhiteufc made up. I’m expecting to be inside the Octagon again soon. thanks for the support guys – I appreciate it.”

White did appear on ESPN 1100’s radiothon today in Las Vegas. However, reports indicate he was a little less definitive about Tito returning to the promotion than he was just an hour earlier on Twitter.

“Tito and I have been talking and we have been trying to see if we could figure things out,” said White. “I’ve said many times that Tito and I have some issues and we both need to grow up.”
