  1. I know shields is good, but that’s a fight Lawler shouldn’t lose especially if he is considered the number two middleweight. It’s official Roger’s is for real.

  2. Why shouldn’t Lawler lose it? Shields had a great fight and used bjj in brilliant fashion. He also did ok standing and striking. I’m impressed with Shields and believe that he earned the victory.

@ promma: Once again I’m impressed with your play by play. Awesome work. Thanks

  3. My picks were fairly accurate, save for two: The Rogers/Arlovski fight and Lawler/Shields. I’m not sure if I am more impressed with Brett Rogers or more underimpressed with Andrei’s approach to the fight. Not to take anything away from Rogers, but Arlovski coming out and attempting to stand and trade with Brett was just stupid. I’m left wondering if his pro boxing preparation wasn’t his undoing.
The Shields victory was much more of a surprise to me then AA getting KTFO’d. Everyone knew that if the fight went to the ground, Shields would win, but I was very surprised, and impressed, on how easily he got hold of Lawler, without sustaining any damage.
All-in-all a great night of fights, looking forward to Strikeforce’s next one!

  4. Great way to sum it up Jeff. Jake has taken his career with the next levelwith this win. I am kicking my self for not betting Roers. But aftermy last bet, I have been hesitant! Great PBP,thanks Denny

  5. Lawler got beat straight up, I realize that and hats off to Shields. I’m just saying Lawler is the number two middleweight in alot of rankings. If your that high and someone moves up in weight to fight you even as good as Shields is, you have to find a way to win to prove you belong where your ranked.
