One of the biggest sports video game creators, EA Sports, is apparently throwing their hat in the MMA ring or cage. Gamer website, Gamers Daily News, has announced that the company behind Madden Football, is ready to announce that they are going to develop a game called simply EA Sports MMA.
Recently THQ’s UFC Undisputed 2009 has debuted and the game is getting rave reviews from both video game and MMA fans. MMA games, which were once thought to be nearly impossible due to the intricate nature of the sport, seem to be the new hot thing.
It remains to be seen if EA Sports will partner with any promotion for their upcoming title. MMA stars Randy Couture and Gina Carano have both worked with EA in the past for Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, so they would be probable characters for the new game.
