Nashville, Tennessee is rich with MMA action right now. Hot on the heels of the first ever UFC event in Tennessee, Ed Clay’s “Gameness Fighting Championship 3” comes to the state’s capital on Saturday, May 2nd. UFC veteran Josh “The Warhammer” Schockman headlines a talented card of Nashville Mixed Martial Arts’ finest fighters.

“GFC 3” will mark the first pro MMA event for Gameness. Their first two events held at the Nashville State Fairgrounds’ Sports Arena were so successful they were forced to find a larger venue, and what better place than one of Nashville’s oldest and most well-known event centers, Municipal Auditorium, which is located right in the heart of downtown.

Headlining the event will be UFC 65 veteran Josh “The Warhammer” Schockman, who will be making his 205-pound light heavyweight debut, taking on Joe Lewis. All one has to do is look at the records of the fighters on this card to realize Nashville fight fans are in for some high-quality MMA action Saturday night and PRO MMA (promma.info) will be right there cage side to document all the action. 1. Mixed martial arts and shows like the Ultimate Fighting Championship showcase the amazing prowess of the human body. Nevertheless, marketing props like cage fights portray a gladiator-like scene, reminiscent of the blood-thirst Romans.
