PRO MMA (promma.info) has the official weigh-in results for “UFC 97: Redemption” which took place Friday, April 17 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.

The UFC Middleweight Champion came in three pounds under the 185 pound title-fight limit which is most likely an indication that the Champ is in phenomenal condition and will be fighting at optimum speed. The general consensus among MMA pundits is Silva wants to make a statement in this fight.

Silva’s opponent, Thales Leites, tipped the scale at the 185 pound middleweight title-fight limit, taking advantage of every single pound allowed. Few people are giving Leites a shot, and those kind of opponents are always dangerous.

One fighter, David Bielkheden, came in over weight. He weighed in at 157 lbs., one pound over the 156 lbs. allowed in a lightweight non-title fight. He was given one hour to lose the additional pound.
