Twenty two fighters took to the scales at the Honda Center late Friday afternoon, in Anaheim, California. Fans who could not make it to the weigh-ins were able to watch the event on live television on HDNet. PRO MMA covered the final “Day of Reckoning” event leading up to Saturday’s card.

Prior to the fighters stepping onto the scales, the Affliction ring was being set up. Affliction and M-1 employees were hyping up fans by throwing free t-shirts into the stands. Andrei Arlovski came out forty five minutes before the weigh-ins began to pose for photos and sign autographs for fans.

The HDNet live broadcast of the event appeared to keep the weigh-ins from moving at a steady pace. Due in part to regular commercial breaks. While all of the fighters were interviewed by Inside MMA’s Ron Kruk, the audio was not being pipped out to the fans in attendance.

Former UFC Heavyweight champion, Tim Sylvia took the stage with eleven models vying for a spot to become a ring girl for tomorrow’s fights.

Immediately after stepping off the scales, lightweight Dan Lauzon started to rehydrate with fluids after being handed a one gallon container from his brother, Joe.

Tito Ortiz celebrated his 34th birthday with the help of a large birthday cake courtesy of Inside MMA and Affliction.

Bobby Green, the last minute replacement for Chris Horodecki, stopped to wish Tito a happy birthday and told the “Huntington Beach Bad Boy” how much he admired him growing up as a boy.

MMA legend Pat Miletich spent a few moments with PRO MMA and gave his prediction on the WAMMA Heavyweight title bout.

“You know, I’ll probably say the same thing that everyone else has been saying. If they stay standing I think, obviously, Arlovski has got a better chance. The variable is, I think, that everyone has questions about Andrei’s jaw. Fedor is very good at finding people’s chins and is an incredible fighter. Track records…I have to go with Fedor to be honest with you. He has beat so many great fighters, he has been under pressure so much and the guy just has no expression when he fights. Stone cold killer in my mind. Overall….even though Andrei has looked incredible in his last few fights, I have to go with Fedor.”

Fedor received his WAMMA championship ring at the conclusion of the weigh-ins from the sanctioning bodies officers, Michael Lynch, Dave Szady and Pat Miletich.

PRO MMA asked Tom Atencio if WAMMA had approached the Affliction V.P. with the possibility of Matt Lindland and Vitor Belfort fighting for the vacant Middleweight title.

“Yeah, we are looking at that. Right now, what I did, is that both of these guys wanted this fight. They are both hungry. This match up is going to be explosive. It is two different styles and has the potential to be an unbelievable chess game. As far as the belt goes for WAMMA, we are going to look at different weight classes but right now, this is only our second event. We need to get the ball rolling and continue doing what we are doing and everything will start to fall into place.
