“Relentless” Ryan Bastianelli (3-0) has signed to fight on the FIGHT QUEST:  BATTLE GROUNDS January 31st card at the Bakersfield Dome in Bakersfield, California.

Bastianelli will be fighting at a catch weight of 150 pounds. The Concord resident who fights at the 135 pound limit does not believe the jump in weight will be be a factor in the fight.

“I’ve fought at 150 before and felt strong. I train with bigger guys, so it shouldn’t be a problem.”

The Arizona State wrestling product believes he has the strength to hang with the lightweights and points to his previous opponents as proof.

“I fought Gigo Jara (at Lightweight), he was four inches taller than me and I overwhelmed him with my strength. My first amateur fight was at 160. I am excited about (the fight.)”

Headlining the event will be K-1 and King of the Cage veteran, Ruben “Warpath” Villareal (13-14-3) taking on Mike Cook (6-1) in a heavyweight contest. In the co-main event Preston Schraff (6-6) takes on Billy Terry (3-10) at 160 pounds. No opponent has yet been officially named for Bastianelli.
