Cage Fest: Xtreme Evolution took place on November 15th, 2008 in Hampton Roads, Virginia. The main event featured The Ultimate Fighter season six runner-up, Tommy Speer taking on Beau Baker, a former college wrestler who was undefeated at 5-0 coming into the bout.

Although Speer performed fairly well he was not satisfied and said in a post fight interview that trying to be a be a full time farmer and a full time fighter just isn’t working. It could be an irrational decision he made right off the cuff of losing but Tommy Speer said that would be his last fight. (See video below) Hopefully the young Hit Squad fighter will change his mind.

It would be a shame for someone with so much raw talent to hang up the gloves so early in his career. Maybe a new camp is what the fellow needs.

The co-main event featured Antwain Britt who was sent home from the current season of The Ultimate Fighter after winning his first and only bout but suffered a broken hand. He hasn’t been impressed with what he’s seen on season 8 of The Ultimate Fighter since he left. “Honestly, there’s nobody on that show that could have beat me,” he said.
