Mark Bocek (155) vs. Alvin Robinson (155)
Rd.1 – Alvin Robinson barely survives a north/south choke submission from Bocek and is saved by the bell.
Rd.2 – Lots of scrambling on the ground. Tactical ground battle.
Rd.3 – Bocek slams Robinson with a big one. Bocek gets side control then gets full mount. Robinson gives up his back and Bocek finally gets the choke. Mark Bocek defeats Alvin Robinson by submission (rear naked choke) in round 3.

Jorge Gurgel (155) vs. Aaron Riley (156)
Rd.1 – Nice exchanges by Gurgel.
Rd.2 – Lots of exchanges by both guys. Riley lands some good head kicks and punches. Gurgel got a takedown at the end of the round.
Rd.3 – Aaron Riley really got the best of Gurgel this round. He rocked Gurgel badly with a head kick and just out struck Gurgel the whole round. Gurgel punches slowed as he visibly tired. Aaron Riley defeats George Gurgel by unanimous decision.

Demian Maia (185) vs. Nate Quarry (185)
Rd.1 – Demian Maia immediately gets Nate Quarry to the ground by pulling guard. After getting a body lock with his legs, Demian Maia eventually gets the rear naked choke in and submits Nate Quarry at 2:13 of round 1. Impressive performance from Maia really made Quarry look like a novice. Maia said afterward he would like to fight Michael Bisping. Demian Maia defeats Nate Quarry by submission (rear naked choke) in round 1.

Gabriel Gonzaga (256) vs. Josh Hendricks (238)
Editor’s Note: Gabriel Gonzaga’s English is sounding much better; a real noticeable improvement.
Rd.1 – Gabriel Gonzaga is back. Josh Hendricks who has been training with Randy Couture got knocked out brutally at 1:01 of round 1. Gonzaga grabbed the muay thai plum and delivered some huge knees to Hendrick’s body. Hendricks swung but Gonzaga swung and connected right on the chin of Hendricks, dropping him to the ground. He looked at the ref to see if he wanted him to continue and the ref said go so Gonzaga threw a couple more punches for good measure to the chin of his down and out opponent. Gabriel Gonzaga defeats Josh Hendricks by KO (punches) in round 1.

Matt Brown (171) vs. Ryan Thomas (170)
Rd.1 – Brown comes close to getting a armbar and a triangle.
Rd.2 – Brown tries the armbar again and gets slammed hard. However, Brown hangs on and gets the arm back tight and submits Ryan Thomas in 57 seconds of the second round. Matt Brown defeats Ryan Thomas by submission (armbar) in round 2.

Dustin Hazelett (170) vs. Tamdan McCrory (170)
Rd.1 –Tamdan McCrory comes out and lands a good combination. Dustin Hazelett lands a front kick that knocks McCrory down. Hazelett lands some big punches. Dustin Hazelett uses rubber guard to control McCrory then transitions to armbar and gets the tap out. Dustin Hazelett defeats Tamdan McCrory by submission (armbar) in round 1. Hazelett has some of the very best mma jiu jitsu in MMA.

Jeremy Stephens (155) vs. Rafael dos Anjos (155)
Rd.1 –
Stephens is saved by the bell from an omoplata submission attempt.
Rd.2 – Technical difficulties with broadcast.
Rd.3 – Jeremy Stephens throws a huge huge uppercut and KO’s dos Anjos with one of the most brutal shots in UFC history. Jeremy Stephens defeats Rafael dos Anjos by KO (uppercut) in round 3.

Kenny Florian (156) vs. Joe Stevenson (156)
Rd.1 – Joe began stalking Kenny. Kenny takes Joe Stevenson down and gets the full mount. Joe gives up his back and sinks in the choke and Stevenson is forced to tap. Kenny Florian calls out B.J. Penn. Kenny Florian defeats Joe Stevenson by submission (rear naked choke) in round 1. He said, “I have a lot of respect for you B.J. Penn. I consider you a master. It’s time to kill the master.” This had to be Kenny Florian’s most impressive performance ever over a very tough opponent.

Champ Randy Couture (220) vs. Brock Lesnar (265) (for UFC Heavyweight Title)
Rd.1 – Very even.
Rd.2 – At 3:07 of round 2 Brock Lesnar becomes the UFC Heavyweight Champion after a big right hand that put Couture down and then followed it up with a big hammerfist and elbows until the ref is forced to stop it. Brock Lesnar defeats Randy Couture by TKO (strikes) in round 2.
