Country singer/songwriter, Darryl Worley has teamed with Nashville attorney Steve Mills and eighth-degree black belt Chuck Burnett to launch Music City Mixed Martial Arts.

Music City MMA plans to promote monthly events in Nashville, Tennessee. There’s plenty of local MMA talent in Tennessee.  The immediate area is home to such MMA gyms as Ed Clay’s Nashville MMA and Guardian MMA in Murfreesboro.

With MMA just becoming legalized in Tennessee in 2008, the whole state is like a bed of dry leaves ready to be set on fire with the intense passion MMA fighters and fans bring to the sport.

Worley states: “I’ve been a fan of Mixed Martial Arts for quite some time. I jumped at the chance to get involved with Music City MMA, and bring this intense sport to Nashville. This is a great sports town, with the Titans, Predators, Sounds and all the college teams, and I can’t wait for sports fans from this entire area to come out and see what we’re doing.”

Music City Mixed Martial Arts will host its first event at the Wildhorse Saloon on 2nd avenue in downtown Nashville on Tuesday, November 25th, 2008.  This will be the first ever MMA event to be held in Nashville.
