Five Ounces of Pain is reporting that former WEC Light Heavyweight Champion Brian Stann will not be able to fight Steve Cantwell in his first scheduled UFC bout which was to take place at UFC FIGHT FOR THE TROOPS (Ultimate Fight Night 16) on December 10th in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Apparently Stann suffered a foot injury that will keep him from competing.

The fight between Cantwell and Stann was to be a “grudge match”, each having won one match each and both by TKO. Brian “All American” Stann has a large fan base among our military men and women being that he served in the Afghanistan and Iraqi wars with the U.S. Marine Corps.

Certainly this fight at Fort Bragg would have meant a lot to him as it is serving as a fundraiser for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund and will be broadcast live on Spike TV. Viewers will be allowed to phone in with donations during the broadcast.
